On May 20th, 2025 the AEG San Antonio Truck Electrification Dinner convened 20 cross-sector leaders to address key challenges and opportunities for medium- and heavy-duty (MD/HD) truck electrification across the Texas Triangle—San Antonio/Austin, Houston, and Dallas–Fort Worth. Participants challenged one another to align on an approach to stakeholder engagement, starting with San Antonio, to expedite progress based on key stakeholder needs and priorities, including economic benefits, community health, and system reliability/resilience.
Held on August 29th, 2024 at GVC LTD in The Bronx, 50 public and private industry leaders convened for the AEG New York Task Force #ElectrifyZerega Community Roundtable. The purpose of this roundtable was to engage stakeholders in developing a comprehensive plan for electrifying Zerega Avenue, focusing on reducing environmental disparities through fleet electrification, and to create actionable steps for implementing sustainable transportation infrastructure in the Bronx.
The majority of American commuters use their single person vehicles as their main mode of transportation to work. This presents a major barrier to reducing the amount of non-electric vehicles as their primary mode of commuter transit. In order to reach the goal of net zero emissions by 2050, Boston is encouraging commuters to utilize public transit, carpool, bike, or walk. To decrease the amount of cars on the road and benefit the health of the community, a solution is to make public transit, walking, and biking more accessible to commuters.
After a year and a half of zooming through remote collaboration AEG Stakeholders gathered in-person for the AEG Washington 21Q4 Stakeholder Challenge on Mobility & Transportation. Many great obstacles were presented by our Speaker Challengers, but ultimately only one was selected as the most critical to overcome in 12 months.
